Walk description:

The Dam is situated south of Lymm village on the A56. You could also take the bus - Arriva No’s 37 and 38 and Warrington Borough Transport No’s 5 and 6.

This is a nice circular walk or out and back from the car park to Lymm village. This is a designated low mobility trail that has just had the final section complete to make it a circular route. There are two walks, 'waterside' and 'easy access', obviously the best one to complete is the 'easy access'.

The surface is hard stone with a few loose areas.

Additional notes:

Lymm Dam is an area of great beauty and tranquillity. Its woodlands and meadows are teeming with wildlife and the site’s history gives it a unique character.

There are plenty of information/map boards on the route. As well as picnic areas and benches.

Toilets within the pubs in Lymm. Also there is a 20p Toilet (inc disabled) on the A56 which forms 'The Dam'.

Excellent walk, with pub to finish. Beautiful scenery, terrain easily manageable, parking no problem on the
dam but the A56 can be quite busy
