Turn off the A3052 into Branscombe. Drive down into the village until you see the sign for the beach.( If you go past the pub on the right you have missed the turning ).
Drive up the road to the beach. This is a narrow road with passing places. At the beach is a car park that you have to pay to park in.
When you are in the car park walk towards the sea. On your right is a restaurant with a small shop attached to it.
Just past the shop on your right is a pathway leading to Branscombe village. Walk along this footpath which is through a small wood with a stream running along side it.
When you cross the second wooden bridge the pathway branches to the right. Turn right and walk along this path until you come out to the road turning where you turned down to the beach.
Next turn left by the pub which is on your right. Follow this road till you come to the end at a T junction.
Turn left and then walk along this road for about a third of a mile until you come to the turning for National Trust watermill. turn left down this foot path.
(In this area there is two other National Trust places of interest to see. There is an old bakery where you can get a cup of tea. Also there is a old forge where you can see a blacksmith at work )
If you continue to go down the footpath by the old watermill it eventually leads back to the footpath that forked off to Branscombe village.
At this junction go right ( or straight on if you have cut across the grass ), until you come back to Branscombe see front.
Along the front is a pathway along side beech huts that is made up of small pebbles.
This walk can be altered to suit you. You can make it a there and back walk if you take the footpath straight to the watermill.
Part of the walk that goes from the village to the old watermill has no pavements.
