Head towards the village of Morwellham and Morwellham Quay can be found right at the bottom of the valley.
The site is currently going through a period of massive improvement. It has successfully achieved World Heritage status and as such they are making adjustments to the site to reflect this.
When you have parked your car in the main visitors car park you need to head down towards the reception hut. Just to the left of that is the start of the nature trail.
Turn right behind the reception hut and follow the path all the way around the outskirts of the site.
There are a couple of hides along the route which are accessible. Take care on the ramps as they can get a bit slippy!
When you have made your way around the field at the outer edge of the route you need to go through the gate by the farmyard. Go through the farmyard and then turn right and head down the hill. The path surface is a bit bumpy here.
This path will then take you out into the centre of Morwellham Quay.
An all terrain buggy was used to test this route. Standard pushchairs may struggle with the terrain.
While the improvement project is taking place, there is no entrance fee to the site.
There is a small cafe offering refreshments. It has a side entrance which is ideal for those with buggies or in a wheelchair. There is a car park for the disabled.
