Walk description:

From Bridport, drive along the A35 towards Lyme Regis. Drive all the way through Chideock, and just before the brow of the hill, turn left. If you come to the small dual carriage way you have missed the turning, and need to turn around.

When you have turned left you will come to a turning on your left, Signposted to the Golden Cap. This road is very uneven and bumpy. Drive along here, and turn right towards Parking at end of lane. This is a pay and display car park. There are picnic benches here.

Straight in front of you is a large gate, with information boards next to it regarding the walks there.

Go through the access here, signposted towards the Golden Cap. The terrain is a compact path, which is slightly uneven in places. As you walk along here you have amazing views of the coast, on your right.

Follow the path around up hill, till you come to a fork in the path. Continue around to the right and you will be walking through Langdon Wood. This part of the walk is downhill. Follow this path and it will go around to the right, until you come to another large gate. This will bring you back to the car park.

Additional notes:

This walk is popular with dog walkers.

The walk can get a bit muddy in places after wet weather.

There are benches along the way to look at sea views.

Some wildlife to be seen when quiet.

Beautiful views

This is a lovely walk with beautiful views across the coast line. It is suitable for wheelchair and buggies
as long as you can cope with slight inclines. There are alternative walks, but not all of these will be
suitable, especially for wheelchair users.
