Walk description:

Can be started where limited parking is available at either end with level access best from New Passage or arrive by train at Severn Beach !
Follow tarmac path along sea wall with magnificent views across the Severn to Wales.
Passes under the Second Severn Crossing , note the monorail underneath, and over the Severn Tunnel . From New Passage you can see the elegant Severn Bridge and the place where St Augustine met the Welsh Bishops in 603AD - and Bob Dylan caught the ferry a few hundred years later. New Passage itself was once a busy ferry crossing before the Severn tunnel opened .

Additional notes:

Toilets ( including disabled / RADAR ) and cafe's available at Severn Beach as are most on street parking opportunities. Surface of path is good throughout but do not venturte onto the lower path beyond the sea wall unless the tide is definitely falling ! Lots of benches along the way for a rest and great to get away from it all but no facilities at New Passage end a rather lonely but beautiful place
