Walk description:

There is a dedicated low mobility access trail at Barnsbridge Gate, this is a circular route of 0.75 miles. This is what is graded for this site.

However many of the other trails can be completed in a wheelchair depending on how brave you are, and if you have help available. This is due to less than suitable ground especially when wet in places, steep slopes and/or tree roots. It is worth though going on some of the other tracks as the wildlife is stunning. An example is the lovely route route around the Blakemere Moss than can be accessed from either Linmere Lodge or Whitefield Car Park. At the former you will also find a reasonable cafe and toilets.

Additional notes:

More info can be found on the Forestry Commission Website. Please note that parking is not free for blue badge holders and spaces are limited especially at Linmere Lodge. At Whitefield car park (2 all day) there is no dedicated disabled spaces, but the area is HUGE so no normally a problem, also here you can buy an annual parking permit for 20 (Apr-Mar incl) which you get from Linmere Lodge.
