Walk description:

Once inside Tatton Park walk towards Tatton Hall on Knutsford Drive. Although this is the main road to Tatton Hall it does not have general traffic on it and will not be busy.

You will pass a huge lake on the right hand side.

Go over the cattle grid and pass the turning on the right to the outdoor centre.

Keep on the road until you reach Tatton Hall.

Enjoy a well earned rest before heading back or if you have been lucky enough perhaps a companion will have parked the car at the Tatton House car park.

Additional notes:

This is a National Trust property and although entrance is free for pedestrians, cars do have to pay 4.00. This applies whether you are a National Trust member or not. We found several roads outside of the main park where you could park for free. Try Mereheath Lane which is the turning on the left before the main entrance to Tatton Park.

Lots of wildlife/animals to be seen - sheep, deer, variety of ducks and birds.

Tatton house has a lovely restaurant which does very reasonably priced food and drink.

Although some of the walk is along the road, it is only the road to the main house and not one for general traffic. The road is surfaced with tarmac and is therefore ideal.
