Walk description:

A hidden gem of a wheelchair accessible beach, that has a surface that if used with caution can support an electric wheelchair. A word of caution though take note of tide times as at high tide the beach can be completely covered.

This beach is in the mouth of the river Dee and is nicely sheltered and offers superb verys across the estuary to the Welsh hills. Additionally there are no restrictions on dogs.

A word of caution though take note of tide times as at high tide the beach can be completely covered.

Additional notes:

Its easiest to park at the Wirral Country Park visitors centre, and then proceed down the old railway line until you come to the gate on the left. Alternatively you can use the road though the caravan park.

Please note parking at the beach is VERY limited, and the last 200 yards is a fairly steep roadway. There are no facilities at the beach, but there are generally good facilities at the visitors centre.
