Walk description:

A lovely walk along Bournemouth beach. Start from Boscombe, Bournemonth, Durley Chine and even Sandbanks. These places have parking at the beach level. if not then you can park on the cliff top and walk down, but must warn you some of these zig zag paths can be quite steep. There are a few cliff side lifts situated between Bournemouth and Boscombe pier and Bournemouth pier and Durley Chine.

So much to do along this wonderful beach walk.... Catch the Land Train at any one of the twelve stops and choose your beach! We have smoke free beaches as well as glass and dog free beaches for your comfort.

Collect a free Kidzone wristband from any Seafront Office. This will help keep the kids within the coloured beach zones or make it easier for staff to relocate them if the they wander off.

Have a dip in the clean blue Blue Flag award winning bathing waters.

Check out the amusements with the latest games at Bournemouth Pier and Neptune Arcade or the old favourites and Bingo at Happylands near West Cliff Lift.

Have a go on the bouncy castle at Durley and Eastbeach.

Settle the kids into the FREE beach games club which offers hours of supervised fun while parents relax nearby (Summer only – East of Boscombe)

For the thrill seekers, hop on a simulator ride at Pier Approach by Bournemouth Pier and be prepared to get thrown around.

There’s ice cream and food galore at the seafront with tasty treats to tempt all the family.

Cruise along the coast and learn about the history of Bournemouth with a trip on one of the Dorset Belle boats.

Visit the deep blue and experience the wonders of the natural world at the Oceanarium by Bournemouth Pier.

Hire a beach pad for the family – views included! A seafront beach chalet can be hired complete with four deckchairs.

As for eating out, whatever your tastes, you can choose from Mediterranean bistros, seafood, Italian and traditional restaurants all within walking distance.

Sample the fresh seafood at Westbeach Restaurant and dine on the terrace area listening to the sounds of the sea.

Or maybe wine and dine at Bistro on the Beach - serving delicious English food with uninterrupted sea views.

Or if you prefer the traditional seaside meal - stroll along the promenade to Harry Ramsden's and indulge in their world famous fish & chips!
