Walk description:

From Weymouth head to Portland along the A354. You will see brown signs for Old Harbour(s) Time Walk. Follow these signs and they will take you up Rodwell Road and left along Rodwell Avenue.

Continue along Rodwell avenue until you come to Newton's Road on your right. The car Park is on your right just after you turn into Newton's Road.

Walk along Newton's Road toward the sea and you will come to Newton's cove.

This walk is a walk along the sea wall. The terrain is good and is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs.

When you get to the end of the sea wall you can either turn around and retrace your steps or continue into Nothe Gardens. There is a slope into the gardens, but once you get to the top it is a flat tarmac path that goes around the gardens.

You can follow the tarmac path back down to Newton's Cove when you have seen the Gardens.

Additional notes:

There is a small Wall's Ice Cream hut, located at the entrance to Newton's Cove, that sells hot drinks and ice creams to passing trade.

The toilets for this walk are in Nothe Gardens.
