Walk description:

This route is not for the faint-hearted. It starts from the car park at Queensferry Lodge Hotel. The path passes the end of the hotel, and takes you down onto the pedestrian path across the bridge. There is a fairly steep slope to the centre of the bridge from either end. On a sunny day the views are spectacular in every direction. On a windy day it is extremely hard work! Wrap up well.

It is also possible to access the bridge from South Queensferry.

Additional notes:

From the Queensferry Lodge Hotel you can enjoy a spectacular view of the River Forth, have a drink, a coffee or a meal and watch the Zeebrugge ferry leave around tea time.
