Walk description:

From Ringwood drive along the A338 towards Salisbury. Not far from Ringwood you will drive through Blashford. When you have driven through Blashford you will see a stone and sand works on your left and the turning you need is just pass this on your right.

When you have turn right, drive along Ellingham Drove and you will see Blashford Lakes and Centre on your right. Turn right here and head for the small car park straight in front of you.

At the top end of the car park you can walk straight through until you come to the information centre. From here there is easy access to some of the trails Hides.

There are various other trails you can do. From the car park go out of the car park entrance and turn immediately left. Go across a bridge and along the path until you come to a turning before the large gate. Turn left here and follow the trail along by one of the lakes.

Go straight on up a gravel/grass track until you come to a wooden bridge Go across this bridge and then follow the track until you come to another bridge on your left. This is a long bridge path made out of planks of wood. You can either go straight on and continue your walk around the lake or go left through the Nature Reserve.

If you turn left go along the wooden path, taking care as when wet it can be slippery. Follow this path all the way to the end and you will come to another bridge.

Go across this bridge and on your right is the Ivy South Hide. Go straight on until you come to a fork in the path. Turn right and this will take you to the Woodland Hide. Then turn around and go back to the trail you left.

Turn right and continue along the trail. Follow the trail along up a slope to the visitor centre.
With your back towards the Visitor Centre walk straight on to back towards the car park.

Additional notes:

The walk from the Visitors Centre to the Hides can be done with a wheelchair without to much difficulty. The other parts will depend on the individual.
