Castleman Trailway from Hurn Lane car park to Ringwood

18/04/2009 | Reviewed by Cass Scholz

Car park: take the A31 from Ringwood--turn left after the Fish Inn to Verwood--first left into Hurn Lane--the
car park is on your left.
Coming on the A31 from Ferndown go up the Ashley Heath roundabout as if
going to Bournemouth, but carry on straight over the roundabout towards Ringwood. turn left to
Matchams/Verwood after the roundabout, go down to the T junction then turn right on the B3081/Ringwood Road,
under the A31 bridge, then right into Hurn Lane--the car park is on your left.
This is a pleasant walk
into Ringwood--plenty of cafes and little shops in the High Street and the Furlong. Turn left when you come to
the first houses into Riverside over a small bridge, cross The Bickerley into Kings Arms--that takes you to
the High Street. If youre looking for a playground, walk right down the High Street to Southampton Road, turn
left, cross the pedestrian crossing on Mansfield Road--the playground is beside Frampton Place on the right
side of the road after about a mile from turning into Southampton Road.
