Walk description:

A walk that takes in the Lancashire Coastal Path, views over the Lune Esturay and some fantastic bird watching areas, before returning along the canal towpath. From the car park head across the road and follow the cycle track away from Glasson. Cross the footbridge (cafe here) and turn right for approx 500 yards (pass the pub) then turn right along the road. Take care at this point as there is no footpath. Cross over the humpback bridge and then turn left following signs for the Mill Inn. Here join the canal towpath and turn right following it back to the car park. The towpath is a little rough.

Additional notes:

Lots of places to eat in Glasson and a few pubs and cafes passed along the way. The car park at Glasson Dock is a pay and display (£1 for 24 hours August 2013).
