Walk description:

Hunters Hill Quarry is a small site with nearly one km of wheelchair and buggy accessible paths. The car park is on Banister Lane, near the Rigbye Arms Pub and High Moor restaurant. Simply follow the waymarked trail. Information panels show wildlife and geology. The walk offers wonderful views of lancashire.

Hunters Hill Quarry

The terrain is quite rough in places with exposed stone making the ride quite bumpy at times. Going down into
the quarry is quite steep, requiring a strong person to push the wheelchair back up the path. The route is
not wheelchair accessible past the Geology sign in the bottom of the quarry. A wonderful place to visit with
birch trees in the bottom of the quarry and excellent views from the top.
