Walk description:

park near the health centre, you can access the canal from here via some steps or go over the main road at the base of the bridge and go down Victoria street towards the canal. once on the canal via left and follow the footpath for about 1.5 miles. near Rufford line you will need to go around a gate across the path, once you meet Ruford line canal follow that down the side of top locks, over the cobbles and onto a gravel road. at the base of the bridge turn left along the road and follow the road back into the village. at the top of school lane, turn left into the village, until you reach the clock the go down the side of the bridge until you come back to the car park.


Additional notes:

There are several pubs in the village, and one at top locks, many serve meals.
