Walk description:

Drive through Langport towards Curry Rival. At the bottom of the town, on your left, there is The Langport and River Parrett Visitor Centre. It is on the corner of Westover.

For Sat Nav. users the post code is TA10 9RB

The walk starts here. From the Visitor Centre go across the bridge, and follow the track around to your right. When you get to a T junction in the track, go right. Go across the bridge and follow the trail along side of the river.

The terrain become a grass and stone track, which is uneven at times. Go along this track and you will get to a solid pathway. Keep going along here until you get to Huish bridge. You will then need to turn around and go back the way you came. When you get back to the bridge, go across the bridge and turn right.

Walk straight on and you will get to a car park. Go to the right and you will come to some shops. The toilets are situated opposite these by the library. There is a cafe in Langport main street.

From here you can either turn around and go back the way you came, or continue down through Langport back to the visitor Centre.

Additional notes:

At present you have to turn around at Huish Bridge due to construction work being carried out. In the future when this is finished, it will be possible to make the route longer
