Walk description:

From the A303, follow the brown tourist signs (B3092) to Stourhead House and Gardens. Postcode for Sat Nav users is BA12 6QD.

After parking at one of the numerous car parks at Stourhead House and Gardens follow the signs to the Gardens. There is a circular route for you to follow and no map is required.

The terrain is mainly tarmac and gravel and is suitable for all types of buggies, pushchairs and wheelchairs.


Additional notes:

The parking is free, however you will need to pay to enter the Gardens, check the National Trust site for current admission rate. If you wish to look around the house please check that it is open as two days a week they close it to the public. There are a few shops to browse around and a farm shop.

There are disabled parking spaces both by the cafe and toilets and down by the pub, just at the entrance to the gardens.

If you wish to try a more challenging route or do not wish to pay the entrance fee, you can try some of the walks in the wider estate. These take in fantastic views, amazing woodland paths and stacks of wildlife.

Very impressed. Not only was Stourton Gardens buggy friendly, it was a very pleasant well maintained garden.
The mother and baby facility was large and clean. There was also a very pleasant cafe, shop and farm shop.
