We are a husband and wife team based in Wiltshire. Marie founded the idea while walking in the Peak District. She became increasingly frustrated with the lack of freely available information on walks suitable for those with access challenges and after some research decided to create www.walkswithbuggies.com and its sister site www.walkswithwheelchairs.com. Firstly, we would like to thank the Marlborough Area Development Trust for their sponsorship. The MADT is a non-profit-making voluntary organisation which aims to strike a balance between economic, social and environmental issues affecting the Marlborough Community Area in Wiltshire. Back to top
Walks with Buggies in the media:
We have received feedback from a variety of sources and we are very proud of it all. It confirms for us that we are providing the public with what they want and need. If you would like to have your comments on the site, please use the enquiry form to contact us!
"We have a lot of time for Walks with Buggies, a nationwide online directory of free and easy-going family walks."
Brian Schofield. Sunday Times 15.2.09
"You have clearly found an interesting gap in the market, and I am sure that they will prove an extremely valuable resource for people across the country".
David Laws MP for Yeovil
"The concept of highlighting free and accessible walks and encouraging people to explore our wonderful countryside is an extremely worthwhile project". Martin Cook, chairman of the Marlborough Area Development Trust
"You are to be commended on a most useful website, it's just what I've been looking for, for years. We have a daughter who is wheelchair bound and my husband's mother aged 92 is also in a wheelchair. Our problem is always finding somewhere to take them where it is also suitable to walk our dog. We recently took a holiday in Devon where your site proved invaluable".
