How to filter your search results

This page has been produced to help you select the right walk for your particular needs.

  • Select the county you wish to walk in
The numbers in brackets refers to the total number of walks available in that county
  • Select the distance of the walk you would like to undertake
(Distance is in miles and can be selected to the nearest half mile)
  • Select the gradient Click here to see our definitions
  • Select the terrain Click here to see our definitions

If there are certain facilities that you would prefer your walk to have, i.e. a toilet or a cafe, then please click on the appropriate icons to highlight the facility in blue. This will then ensure that all the walks in the list meet your personal requirements. If you would like to see further information then please click this info link: Click here to see our definitions

The list of walks can be sorted so that you can view the location of the walks from either A-Z or Z-A, simply click on the word 'location'. You can also choose whether you would like to have the walks displayed by shortest or longest distance first, you do this by clicking on the word 'mile'.

Once you have decided which walk you would like to know more about, simply click on your chosen walk and a full description, along with an Ordnance Map and further information will appear.

We have not suggested the type of buggy or pushchair that is best suited to the walk as we believe that you will know the capabilities of your own equipment. We would however advise that the steeper walks on tougher terrain are best suited to the more sturdy all terrain buggies.
