Walk description:

A walk on the edge of Somerton using pavements along the roads in the town and narrow country roads where there aren't any pavement so please be aware of any traffic. The walk starts at the car park at the end of Polham Lane at the 90 degree bend at the St Cleers end of the road. From here walk along Polham Lane and follow the road towards a small part of Sutton Road and then quickly onto West Street. Walk down West Street and the turn into Pesters Lane as the road forks (the road on the right). Walk down Pesters Lane and continue past the bottom of Parsonage Hill and Lower Somerton. Continue on the road as it gradually heads uphill to Ashen Cross and Mill Lane. At the crossroads turn right into Mill Lane and continue along Mill Lane until you reach the next crossroads and turn right into Perryhill Road. Follow Perryhill Road all the way back to Somerton and under the railway line and back to Polham Lane. At Polham Lane turn left and follow the road back to the 90 degree bend and back to the car park.

Additional notes:

Please be aware that during the winter, during bad and after bad weather the route can be very muddy and is also prone to having lots of puddles.
